Seal & Design has been invited to display their products at the Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course.  The exhibit dates are August 14, 15, and 16th  at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. We will be highlighting our high-end rubber compounds in HNBR, Viton, Aflas, Chermaz, Simriz, and Perlast Elastomers.

Viton & Buna Quad Rings

Quad Rings

Quad Ring Seals are four lipped seals with a specially developed sealing profile. A wide range of elastomer materials for both standard and special applications allows practically all liquid and gaseous media to be sealed.

 

Advantage:

Quad Rings/X-Rings have the following advantages compared to an Oring:

  • Avoids twisting in the groove. Due to its special profile, the seal does not tend to roll in the groove during reciprocating movement.
  • Low friction.
  • Very good sealing efficiency. Due to an improved pressure profile over Quad Ring Seal cross-section, a high sealing effect is achieved.
  • A lubricant reservoir formed between the sealing lips improves start up.
  • Unlike an O-Ring, the mold line flash lies in the trough, between and away from the critical sealing lips.

Viton O-rings

Seal & Design stocks Viton® O-rings in black, brown and green colors. Fluorocarbon (FKM, FPM, Viton®) compounds available, and all DuPont family series of polymer such as A-type, B-type, GF, GFG, GLT, GFLT.

High performance cushioning materials for multiple footwear and fashion applications

PORON® Urethanes are available in a wide variety of colors, thicknesses, densities and surface textures to accommodate almost any activity, from everyday use to the rigorous demands of high-impact sports and exercise. And if the precise PORON material doesn’t already exist, one can be custom formulated for the needs of a specific manufacturer’s physical and aesthetic requirements.

  • Maximum retention of comfort and flexibility PORON urethanes are made without plasticizers, which means the material will not shrink or become brittle and crack with age. PORON urethanes retain “like-new” softness and flexibility.
  • The highest degree of impact absorption More shock absorption means less impact to feet and joints. In side-by-side drop weight tests, PORON materials outperformed vinyl sponge, neoprene sponge, sponge rubber, latex foam and solid viscoelastic.
  • A breathable layer to help feet stay dry and cool  PORON urethane materials form permeable layers that draw water vapor and perspiration away.
